Anyone have any idea if a M105a2 will ride good behind a M923a2 on 53's? Worried about height difference between trailer and pintle.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I may have not been 100% clear. Not looking to put 53's on the Trailer. The m923 has them on it and just seeing if that trailer will hook good behind the truck with 53's on it. Truck not here so I can't be sure!!!!I don't think the M105 can handle 53 inch tires. I have pulled my M105A2s (and other variants) with both 900s and 1100s behind 5 tons (M939 series, M809 series, and MTVs) and HEMTTs without any issues. As JUANPRADO said, I would stick with 1100s (or the 900s). I only went to 1100s on one of my M105A2s because I carried two cords of seasoned hard wood, which weighs a great deal.
Lunette is flipped. We will do some measuring and see what the diff is. It is ok if trailer is up in front some, just don't want it to be too much.Changing the m105 to 11x20 ndt will help or the newer style one piece rim with 11r22.5 will keep you more level.
Also making sure the lunette is flipped up which it probably is.
Unless you are towing a lot of weight or using it regularly. Might not be worth the trouble....
I misunderstood. Thanks for the clarification.I may have not been 100% clear. Not looking to put 53's on the Trailer. The m923 has them on it and just seeing if that trailer will hook good behind the truck with 53's on it. Truck not here so I can't be sure!!!!
