welcome to red stick, hope you can outrun this nasty thunder storm, EAS is calling it 70 mph winds
Ironic you say that, my soft top stitching has came loose in the front and does fine without the wind gusts but last night progress was slowed by the gusts blowing it up like a kite and having to stop to tape it down again.

I'm at wits end with it, was supposed to be sunny and 80 the entire weekend and it looks like I'll be driving through **** on earth

Here's hoping he got out of BR ahead of the storm that hit around 0800 and can stay ahead of it. I'm afraid, though it will catch him somewhere, maybe between Mobile and Montgomery if he takes I-65. This radar view was at 1100hrs CT, I got 2-1/2 " of rain in 2 hours.

Are you fixing on the road and pressing on, or waiting on parts , best of luck. If its any consolation, we have all been there and done that, It will make for cherished memories later,

Fixing it, I can't leave it behind and can't wait for parts. Got to have it back tonight

Unhook the line from the governor to the compressor.

Run the truck. Building air now?

If not, blow out the compressor where that line attaches (I leave acquisition of compressed air as an exercise ). Then squirt some WD40 in there. Is it building air now?

(This is shortcut, field expedient..)

We have people in Baton Rouge and the surrounding area. JEEPSINKER, M109A2, the guy who bought my M1009, and probably several more. I've lost my contact info...

I suggest a "MAYDAY" in the conversation forum....

If your compressor is toast, have a taxi take you to Home Depot and buy a gas powered air compressor and run that for the rest of the way home. Isn't the usual reason for this issue the sneeze valve stuck open on the dryer?

It was the governor stuck, and just freed it up. Y'all send some luck I'm moving again
