M923a2 steel vs fiberglass hard tops

M939 hard top, steel vs. fiberglass. I'm looking to put a hard top on my M923a2. I'm trying to find a steel hard top but there's not much out there. New tops are $3000 + which is more than I want to spend. Does anyone have any experience with fiberglass tops, fit, cracking etc.

I don't have any experience with the M393 hardtops, but as an armchair steel soldier fiberglass (composite) is the way to go. Having 4 late model corvettes I found the composite is light and it resists dings. Big league.

Why not weld your own? Pretty simple geometry..
