But according to all the above posts 5 tons are not in those categories. Yes you can register it as a MV but you can't use it any way you want legally. And you still can't legally drive it without the CDL. I was hoping I could do exactly as you said, but members here have shown me that is not legal.Register it as MV, get your "non cdl cdl class B" & enjoy it.
Texas now has a NON CDL, CDL CLASS A & B license.
