I won a M925 at fort Jackson SC last week. Is there anybody avialable in the area to see if the truck will slave off? Tim with GL has been very helpful but is unable to find the time to see if the truck will jump start. It was driven in and does have 4 optima batteries according to Tim with GL. All the guages have been removed. I'm not sure if the truck can build enough pressure to release the brakes without the air pressure guages either. Thats if it will start.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had been looking at those ones, and that was my number one concern too.....The air pressure guage being removed would allow all of the air to just escape through the dash, and it might be too fast to build enough air to release the brakes.

Sorry, I'm not anywhere close to there to check it out for you. But yeah, might really need to find out what size air fitting that is that goes into the back of the air pressure guage and bring what you need to plug it in order to move the dang truck.

But congrats on the win!!! I have really had my eyes on an M925 for a while now!

I won one also. When the EUC clears, and I get up there, would be happy to check it out for you. Should be late next week, if history is any indication.

I just picked up a 923 today.

if your worried about the air coming up just bring gauges or bring a piece of pipe to tie them together.

If the air line is the same as a deuce, just bring a 1/4" pipe plug and remove the gauge hose at the firewall manifold and install the pipe plug. I had to do that when I recovered my deuce because the hose to the air pressure gauge leaked.

Cheers,

Ray

The GL guy said they were air force trucks and that they were recycling the guages

Aww man! I wish I had the money, I've driven both of those trucks, if they are the two from SHAW AFB. They are in really good shape. or they were until they got turned in anyway.
