What are you trying to do? (assuming front winch - M925 = WW)

They are sized by the cable diameter and still available new. Search here for "Esmet".
They are available in many sizes from way smaller than the boom rope to way bigger than the rear drag winch and there are many other styles than the ones the military use.

.... but expect mucho $'s

Thanx to both for the replies...

What I am doing is I have a very cool old hook that is LARGE
that I may want to hang up there. Of corse if I had my truck in hand
I would just measure it myself but 1200 miles seperates us.
If I had known how much fun I was going to have w/ it I might
have planned differently, maybe a 2nd truck is in my future...

I bought this hook that I have on ebay about 10 years ago and we have
had limited amounts of fun w/ it hanging it on myraids of things
from time to time, it's a smile generator, for sure.

The M925A1 is big enough that it might just
find a pernament home and look like it grew there store bought.

It is prob 11" long, a Columbus Mckinnion Herc-alloy hook, it
has a #330 on it. I wrote them and they wrote me back, were getting
a latch for it as well. This hook had a life on the Columbia river past decades
in the log industry I was told. Once a man was hung till dead from
it. They said the hangman filled his pockets w/ rocks and it streched
his neck then his body popped off and fell 63' to the river leaving his
bearded head w/ tongue hanging out up high on this hook, I was not told too! :D

I were a 10 size shoe.

My truck is a 2400 miles away round trip, if I send something I have to make
dam sure it will work. It looks like it might. I know there is a short chain
up there, I kinda need to get up there w/ it so I can engineer how
it will work, where it will lay.

If it will connect to the cable I am good for now. I might need
to get a slightly larger section of leader chain, time will tell.

My truck was born via Brad Milne's Ranch ( he took delivery for me) .
GAWD had a great time up there w/ Brad, what an asset he is to this sport!
I was there for 3 days and spent some serious
money w/ Brad buying one of everything...including chains, looped
cables, field chocks and mounts, snatch blocks (3) and literally
tons of other recovery / misc items. I have yet to write a recovery post,
if I do it will surely be a good read. I spend 1.5 weeks doing the deed...

It is a 1in by 3in bolt through the clevis. There one and a quarter inch clearance between the bolt and the back of the clevis, two inches from the back of the clevis to the center of the bolt. Let me know if you need any further info.20121223_144507.jpg

You are quite welcome, give us pictures when you get it rigged up. That hook looks about the size that is on my truck. I was going to change the bolt but I will have to cut it out, it's pretty rusted in. Good luck!

Before you cut buy some PB BLASTER, they sell it at Home Depot now.
Just a lil squirt maybe once a day for a week+ or so then grab some wrenches.
Give it time...That bolt is expensive! Might be hard to replace as well.!
