M925A2 and M923A2 Tires, Rims, and Lugs

Happy Belated Fourth Everyone!

Had a quick question- I'm about to pull all six tires, put 16.00R20s AT3A's in place of the mix-matched Michelin X's (4 rear) and Goodyear AT2A's (Front) (all 14.00R20).

1. Should I reuse the beadlock?
2. Any fitting/clearance issues?
3. I'm going to go buy a set of taps to run up and down the threads before removing- anyone know the sizes/threads for the lugs and rim bolts?


Any advice?

I'm going to redo the boots on the front end at the same time.

Rubs in the front and will hit the bed. Search for these posts first.


You don't need the beadlock insert unless you are planning on running around on 10psi tires in the sand on the beach.

Threads are 3/4-16 for the lug nuts. Your rim studs can be anything from a 5/8" thread to 3/4" to 7/8" We don't know what you have.

You can use these. Quicker. Easier and you always have it.

Sorry I should of clarified- I knew about the tires rubbing in the bed and up front- I already built a set of 3/8" spacers to put in the front end to hopefully be enough for the tires rubbing.

I was referring to issues/tips/advice for fitting the rims onto the 16R20s with beadlocks. I've heard the beadlocks suck to move over so I wasn't sure.

I like the brush ideas! I was thinking about getting two spare nuts for each bolt, drilling holes in them to dispose of dirt and drip oil into, and use them like thread cleaners- super cheap and easy.

Beadlocks are simple to switch ovee. Two ratchet straps around two stationary objects to tighten to spread the tire and slip it out. Going in with them is easy. I just slide them on the wheel then the tire theb pry the tire over it if it has issues. Or buy new inserts. They are abundant and cheap

16.00r20's aren't bad. I got it down to about 40 min each and part of that time was waiting for my compressor to fill. Tightening all the nuts onto the rim 1/2 sucks up a lot of air. Get a really small bottle jack to expand the tire bead, ratchet strap the beadlock into a bean shape and use a lot of lube. Use a lube that doesn't dry out quickly.
