If your ABS came on and will not go off. It has seen a problem with the system and the problem needs to be repaired.
In the TM there is a part on trouble shooting the system.

Did you use the axle with the ABS system when you went to two axles. The rear most axle is the only one that the ABS uses.

The light can stay on to indicate a stored code. You need the proper reader to clear the code. The 4 pin diagnostic plug is by the ste ice port. You may be able to reset it by pulling both fuses that are under the drivers dash.

Wow. I just had this happen so I hopped on here to see what info I could find. I was also going to consult the TMs.
