Got off my butt the last few days and got the bedliner in. Have a little sanding to do and one more good coat to finish it up. Also picked up 2 6" LED light bars for driving lights and a 42" 240w light bar to mount over the cab. Not sure how to mount the 42" but I have the 6" mocked up inside the grille. I notched the expanded metal and bolted it inside the grille. Will try to get a few pics of the lights tomorrow.

Havent updated here in a while.

Got around to getting the small light bars wired up and mounted.

Chained up on axle and moved the truck around the yard so it didnt tear the grass up too bad.

Welded on a 4" elbow since the exhaust blew right into the tailgate when it was down, Im sure the cars behind appreciate it as well.

Finally picked up a M35 to daily drive, wow what a difference in trucks. Planning to put some 11.00x20s on it soon. I think I need a HET ro round out the collection!

Will your 16.00 tires clear the bed at full articulation?
Getting ready to do a bed swap on my M818 & wondered if a 4x4 would be thick enough to prevent any tire interference with the bed.

I only want to buy wood once... any info you can provide will be appreciated.

Not without either lifting the bed or limiting the suspension. Even the stock 14.00's rub on full-compression on a stock cargo truck.

I was planning on using pressure treated 4x4's.

Based on the size/weight of the bed, I only want to lift it once...

With the bed moved foward up to the cab the tires almost go up perfect in between the braces. Once you get it on its easy to adjust up or down. I used bottle jacks on top of the tires.

I'm getting ready to do the same exact thing to mine. How was the clearance between the bed and T case? Could you get away with one 2x4?

Look at the effect of the chemicals used to treat the 4x4's on steel. I'm not sure how wet the wood will get, but I'm cautious about where I put ACQ treated wood.

I primed/painted the wood so there is no direct contact between the 2.

The size of the 4x4 worked out very well for clearance. I have yet to fully articulate the suspension, but it should clear perfectly.
