Been there, done that. I survived the Blizzards of '77, '85, and '93. The Blizzard of '85 was C O L D. -40 with a wind chill of -70, and winds 30-45 MPH. Snow fell at the rate of 1-2 inches per hour, and the winds were so bad that they created 30+ tall snow drifts. I spent 4 hours each night delivering my paper route through that sucker. I managed to avoid frostbite by layering up and trudging through the snow one step at a time. I kept moving, which kept blood flowing. I had hypothermia - took me hours to thaw out. I don't miss 5 seconds of that bone-chilling ugliness! I will NEVER live through weather like that again. I like sunny Florida! :)
