M936A2 Need Engine Assistance

so long story kind of short . . . .

got a used motor for the old girl . come out of a civi truck so was not setup for air/water after cooler setup on intake .

guy he paid to do the swap he said oh I can set it up and be good to go .

we get it back and yes it runs but has few bugs and also he didn't swap over the intake stuff for some stupid reason .

will this be a major problem driving to and from calls and use ?

if anything would it be better to try and swap in a aftermarket air / water cooler with a mini rad up front and a coolent flow pump to a tank ?

we do have a lot of hills around us . so I know it will be boosting a bit and don't wana fry the engine from to hot egt temps .

guy who drove it back to our shop said it was a real dog and hardly got out of its own way . this normal ? I know she is heavy at around 38k lbs .
