Currently 60 miles off hywy, 300 miles from civilization. Smoked a voltage regulator on the trail. Need EXTREMELY EXPERT advice. Can regulator on left be wired into current alternator without smoking the new one? 5 leads, 5 wires on each. (Via STARLINK) Thank you in Advance. Have 3 rigs, different years.IMG_0160.JPG

Should work, but if not you don't really need it anyway. Turn master power on, start the truck, turn master power switch off to save battery and drive that way. You don't need gauges or lights to get you home. Don't drive at night.

The other thing that usually uses electrical power is your in tank fuel pump. But I've driven as Jeepsinker says, in fact I drove for over a year w/ a non-working in tank pump once.
