MD Serial Number

I have a Willys jeep and am trying to figure out the production year. I have the serial number and will list it below. Thank you for your help and have a great day.

Mine is MD51130 and it is 7/53. Yours is probably a 52, that's the year production started on the MD (M38A1).

I need to pin it down for sure to put the correct year on the title.

It seems it could be a "53".... Jan. or so but not sure.

Anyone know what Jan. '53' had for serial numbers?

I found a source of MD38A1 serial numbers.

MD 33667 Dec. 1952

MD 37407 Jan. 1953

MD 48020 April 1953

That would put mine in Jan. or Feb. 1953
