Hello USSR,
Ozzy trucker from Australia here.
I am fascinated by this large Russian-built T-800 dozer. It's in the Cat D11/ Komatsu D575 class, way ahead of its time, at the time. In fact, I've been attempting some research on it for a while and among the few pics I could find (very hard to find) I notice the track frames have no vertical oscillation like a conventional track-type tractor, proven by no support (obviously not needed) on the front idlers. So it appears to use a hull-type chassis (??) where the track frames are fixed, (actually maybe it does not have track frames, rather a tank-design hull) and suspension is provided by oscillation built into the bottom rollers somehow. (??). Could this machine and the frame/chassis be derived from a Russian tank, a T-80 or T-90 or larger for instance??.
I''d like to know more about the actual design of this machine if anyone knows about it.
Cheers
