I think it would be great if we had a section with just a wall in honor of those members who we have lost.

I think that was suggested when ARMYMAN30YearsPlus was killed in Korea. Not sure if it was tabled for future discussion, in the works, or decided against.

We have a lot of great folks here that are going to be sorely missed when they're in formation for the final Roll Call. Seeing their names pass by occasionally helps remind us of why we enjoyed their comraderie so much.

Sounds great, but how would you do it? I cannot imagine what a volunteer roll call looks like. Is it like herding cats?

What may be a good idea is a self policed thread. What I mean by that is only the name of the member lost and thier information listed. No additional post to be made by other members posting anything about the lost member. Each lost member gets a single post. If needed we the one posting can always go back and edit their post with additional information. That way the thread doesn't get cluttered and we can see the information of those members. We can even link the name of the member to their profile so we can review their post in the future.

Just my thought.

Here~Here

The subject has been brought up many times in the past and each time it seems to fall on deaf ears. This should have been done long ago to honor those that have made a difference here on Steel Soldiers and within this hobby we all care about.

It seems Steel Soldiers & Mangus no longer have the time or inclination to do anything with the site.

I would ask our Moderators to please step up and get something implimented so those that made a commitment to this site and it's members can be remembered.

Right, they should be honored.
Problem; AFAIK, we are at the mercy of Mike and Chris for any kind of modification to the site and just a "sticky" doesn't really do it.

I should have been a little more detailed. I think it should be called the Member Memorial Wall. Just a link to a page listing their user name and real name. Still making their user name a link you could click on and see their past posts and what not. We could also have a forum where we can all share fond memories along with saying our good byes.

I do like the ideas and think it should be something we get some input on before it is put into affect.
