The MD SS crowd was there and we met up with John. I was not that impressed, in fact i was disappointed at the poor condition of the trucks and the winches. It is sad to see 30 5 ton winches that have been left to rust away. lots of trucks that have been left to die. Parts trucks M35's that went for more than 1000. Memphis would mix and match lots. They would put something you wanted with 3 rusty axles. The MD group did get several buys. they came from items in the warehouses. We got 2 fuel fired heaters, 500+ wheel cylinder rebuilds kits and maybe 1000+ deuce emergency brake pads. It was a good day to spend with Sean T, Matt T, Sean, Ian, Bob, Jason and John A. Even met some SS guys from NJ. Any day you spend with friends and family is a good day...

I will probably post on the classifieds for parts from the auction. We will take care of everyone who wants parts since they will be much cheaper that if you have to buy them retail. I suspect we will be selling them for yera s and years. Now here are some pictures of trucks and parts from the day of the auction. The row of winches do not show it but they were rusted and pretty beat up. You would of had to buy at least 5 of them to part out to make one good winch. The pair of 25K winches i would of loved to have, but you can see how they were allowed to sit out for decades and rot.

So sad that they let so much stuff just rot away.
That's not unusual - lots of scrapyards let things sit around outside. From our perspective, it's their fault. From their perspective, it's ours - they didn't have the inside room to keep it all, and if it really was worth it's weight in gold, we would've bought it long ago.

That's one of the reasons when I go to Colemans Surplus, I buy all I can get at his yard in that trip with the money I have. The more we give good homes, the more we can save for future generations to enjoy.

Thanks for the pics, Dudley. Glad you were able to save some material. Did you guys end up getting any trucks? I see a few of your guys playing around that M37 like you were wanting it....
