Definitely sounds like a fueling issue, as in fuel starvation. Its either mechanical (governor adjustment or linkage binding, injector, injection pump, weak fuel pump?) or a flow restriction (check valve, filters, fuel pump, restricted injector, fuel lines?).

Could very well be. When the kids and grand son clear the decks, I will look up the procedure.

It seems like I may have figured it out. When I replaced the ball socket I tightened it down to the stop nut, apparently that was too far. I backed it off about three turns and it appears to be running ok. As per the tm I set the frequency to 61.5 under no load. I used my multimeter. I loaded it to 75% and it dropped to 60hz. I ran it for about 10 minutes and it seemed to run ok. Fingers crossed I will run it for a few hrs on Saturday. Hopefully it is good. I want to thank everyone that helped me out.

Here is a hard earned tip.
It took me a long time to really get. If it works, and you do something to it, and then it doesn't work, what ever you did is the place to start looking first. And this linkage has stumped a lot of folks. Including me.
