Hi all, I purchased a MEP804A generator on a trailer. It starts right up and runs smooth but it is over fueling. It has a brand new injection pump on it but I think it might be a tooth off on timing. I need a IPB and tear down manual for this, it has an Isuzu 4 cylinder diesel. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Do you know military Technical Manuals (TM's)?

The above link is for the ARMY TM 9-2815-254-24, for IP pump removal, start on pg 57 on pdf reader, or TM page 3-31, task is 3.11.1.
IP pump installation starts on pdf pg 89 or TM page 3-63, task 3.11.6

The parts manual for the suzie is ARMY TM 9-2815-254-24P, link to the TM following. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=602121&d=1452034545

Did you ground the set? Jumper cables to a chain link fence, or a water hydrant in the yard is acceptable for testing purposes.
Does the set shut down like its supposed to and immediately?
What do you mean by over fueling? Blowing black smoke or dumping raw fuel out the exhaust?

This is my video of a load test on a 'new to this genny' motor.

I did not do a load test as yet. I get a little puff of black smoke on start up, which is normal. When jennie is running there is a constant plume of heavy diesel smelling whitish smoke. It is not over heating or consuming coolant. I have never owned one of these so I don't know how it should shut down but it is pretty immediate when I kill it.
