Our gen has stopped running. It will turn over and run as long as the switch is held to the start position. When release to the primary run position it will stop running.

It had been running fine, filled with fuel about 30 minutes prior to this occurring.

Any ideas from anyone?

Will check oil levels..

Oil level or oil psi switch bad. Thats the first thing to check. Do that and get back to us with the results.

Have you checked the oil. The unit has a safety shut down, it the oil pressure drops too low. It will run as long as the switch is held in the start position but will shut down after it is released.

Thanks Guys. It was the oil level. we've added a qrt and planning on maintenance prior to the next run cycle. It's a weekend place, so we are good for tomorrow.
