I have an 85 Mercedes-Benz 1017A from what I have found in information online is that the rear axle assembly is a HL 4/17 S-9,2 I believe. I needed to pull the axle nuts off drivers side rear axle to access the axle seal as it was leaking. First question is does anyone know where I can find a torque procedure or a specification for Axle Nuts and wheel bearings? I'll buy a manual if I need to even if it's in a different language, I can slowly translate. I just need the information, second is it possible to remove the stamped steel oil catch Shield and be able to reuse it? Or is it possible to find a new one?

Seems like the Repair Kit A3833500068 is available stateside, but I see nothing coming up as a replacement for the oil collector (unless someone knows how to remove it without damage)
And I cannot seem to find a specification, or a procedure to properly reinstall the axle nuts in any language. This parts page shows only 1 axle nut, but I have two one on each side of the lock tab washer
It is an M65 grooved nut.

I have a Unimog and I know there are some Mercedes truck dealers in the US I would make a phone call to one of them and ask your questions and if they are willing to help I would buy my parts from them, its not like your never going to need anymore parts!
