MFR and Year unknown

I purchased and received the following truck:

MFR UNKN, MDL: M818, ID# C124-12512, TRACTOR TRUCK, 5 TON CAPACITY, 0005. 7 HOURS, 00106. 7 MILES, WITH BATTERY AND SPARE TIRE, NO TOP, BUYER LOAD.

Approximate Dim. or Lot Cube: 265" x 98" x 112" (L x W x H)

FSC: NSN Number: Units: Description:
1. 2320 2320000508984 1 EA TRUCK TRACTOR

Now how do I determine the year of the truck so I can get tags and title.
I drove home on I64, (over 300 miles) runs great.

Start by finding the vin. Does it have a data plate on the dash? If it does check the serial number it is your vin. There have been articles about decoding the vin for a year. The manufacturer should be on the plate also unless it was a depot rebuild. I am not sure of the location of the vin on the frame of the M818 but the deuce has the vin on the drivers side front frame rail near the steering box facing to the outside. Sometimes paint has filled in the numbers so you would need to remove the paint gently till the vin was visible.

It does have a data plate but the date and the manufacturer are blank so I guess that means it is a depot rebuild. There is a label on the drivers side seat that reads xx-xx-06. I used the ID# C124-12512 for the vin # and made up the year for insurance, not sure I can do the same thing for DMV.

Many thanks, pictures comming soon. I am going to put a 11' dump bed on it and tag it for 48000 GVW, that will give me a 14 ton pay load.
