Mileage going up on towed deuces?

So were I pulling my Blazer with the deuce, I do unlock the steering wheel, leave the key in the ignition (in the 'acc' position) and can put the tranny and transfer in N, right? That way the front wheels can pivot with the turns, the tranny is free and so is the transfer case

No, the Tcase goes in neutral and the tranny goes in park. Something about the tranny spinning without the oil pump turning siezes stuff. PM Ccatlett for specifics.
