Military Vehicle Insurance for my M1008

I just purchased an M1008 from Memphis Equipment to be used to mount my S-250/G Commo shelter and need vehicle insurance. Does any one know where I can buy insurance because I am getting the run around from insurance company's about it being a commercial vehicle?

Depending on how much you plan on driving it you can try gulfway.

I would figure usaa would insure it no problem, they just won't insure the bigger trucks because of the weight, at least that is was the girl told me on the phone when I was shopping for insurance for a m818.

Its just a Chevy pickup truck... I don't see why any company would have issues insuring them. AAA had no issues with my M1009, nor did my present insurer, Safeco. Perhaps some get hung up on the VIN, as most of the time they are not in the system.

I have mine thru Farm Bureau Ins in here Iowa. Was in your city a few weeks ago on vacation visiting friends.
