Missing SF97 Info

I just won an auction for an FMTV M1088A1 and when filling out the SF97, some information is there and some are left blank. Do all of these fields need to be filled in? I have everything except for Body Style, Weight, and GVWR. Also curious if the information I put here could help me in the future since I am planning on converting the vehicle to an RV which would drastically lower the GVWR. Could I put a lower number here say for the rating of the pintle hook possibly or is this asking for trouble?

I see you’re in Maryland. If you’re planning to register your military truck in Maryland, Good Luck!!! …unless it is over 25 years old then you could get an historic or street rod registration, maybe.
I got my title, temp tag and reg card but due to MVA, no one will inspect it so it can get permanent reg plates, due to MSP instructions to inspection stations, per MVA.
MVA will ask you what you what weight you want to put on the title and registration and you can give them what you want.
I don’t recommend anything less than the assigned GVWR that is on the data plate. It could come back to bite you in the backside.

Thank you for the reply, I should have specified I will be titling/registering it in GA. I am active military stationed in MD and definitely never plan on registering any vehicle here! What do most use for body type?

MVA has “PK” for body style on title and temp reg.

One of my deuces got registered as a PK (Pick-up), mainly because I was explaining to the clerk it had a bed with sides and a tailgate, but much larger. So she said "Like a pickup?", I replied, "Yes but bigger". It's a pickup that has a GVW of 21,000 pounds. Go figure.

I wonder if that's where I should have them change it to RV since that's what I intend to use it as.

I don’t think GovPlanet will change it to that since it is not an RV.
If you are registering it in GA then you would have to check with GA DMV to see how they would do that and if you would have to prove it is a RV.

Yeah that’s what they coded it as on type, “PK” it is for pickup truck. They coded it that even though they seen the GVWR as just over 31k.

Each state has specific requirements for a vehicle to be considered an RV. Some combination of the following elements - Bed, cooking (stove, oven), bathroom (Toilet/shower), refrigerator, water (fresh, gray and black), sink. and there may be other items that vary state by state and one generally has to have at least four or five of the above components to get an RV classification. And, yes, they will inspect it to make sure it complies before they will issue RV tags.

Yeah thanks I will have to do some more digging to see what GA requires. I did confirm with the tag office that they will accept the SF97 for titling and I will be able to get an out of state officer to verify the “VIN” to get it registered. Really didn’t want to bring it to GA for this.
