AHHHH..... Pretty sure the M108 needs a LDS pump, instead of a cranked to the max LD pump....

You got an LDS pump in your BARN! rofl

Might want to turn it down a bit so you don't snap a crankshaft though.

what is the difference with the LDS pump? My LDS in my M109 has that pump on it and it runs crazy faster than my LDT. The tamper proof cover is still on it, so i think the fuel rate should still be ok.... but it what a runner... WOW!

I installed a LDS pump on my deuce way way back in 2004. A LDS pump will run circles around a turned up LDT pump. IF you install a LDS pump on a LDT.. you really made a LDS.

My frist driveable truck has a pump with a big orange sticker on it that says it a LDS456-1C pump LDT 465-1D eng. I thought it ran OK till I got my M109A3 with the FDC bypassed. That shop van would out run the one with the LDS pump. Was the "LDS" pump detuned maybe?? The eng is a rebuild. It runs good now with the FDC bypassed;-)

The FDC is a bottleneck for the fuel system. If you were to bypass the LDS one, you would be impressed. The FDC limits the amount of fuel delivered to the motor based on its viscosity. It does this so that you don't feel any noticeable power loss between fuels. With the FDC bypassed, the fuel system is essentially WFO.

I did bypass the FDC it now runs as good as the M109. I'm not seeing any thing better with the LDS pump over the LDT pump. So I'm woundering if they derated the LDS pump when it was put on the LDT motor. I'm getting EGT's preturbo around 1100-1200 uphill, 700-900 when cruising, some smoke when I stand on it.

mine is the same way as far as smoke. I dont have any ideas where the EGTs are though. the FDC was bypassed and who knows where the fuel is set now. uncle same did all the work on it.

so the LDS pump has different springs in the advance unit? how does that play for power and EGTs? does it make the engine more efficient with the same amount of fuel or what? what would happen if you had a good running LDT465 with D turbo deuce all within spec with the pump, then took the pump out replaced the advance springs with LDS advance springs? im courious.
