I'll check with local shop here. They have certificates galore from American bosch. I'll let you know if I need you. If worse comes to worst, what kind of prices around on hh. It's 495 here with 500 core.

I send you to school with an apple for the teacher and you eat the teacher.

Six Allen head on the side. Not delivery. Not center plug. I think we might get the pressure from any one of the six. Also could get pressure from removing a Injection line but don't know what would be faster/easer. Would have to build something that matches head injection line and I think that would be more of a problem.

Yea Kooldadd you are not the first problem child that has come to class so don't feel special.LOL

This is a problem that has come to the black board before and I think bottom line the Head is getting weak. The ports I showed are there when they built the head and are not used for testing. I am coming off a 3 month Oxycodone world and had a crazy thought about checking the pressure. The correct way is to remove the whole IP and spin it up on the machine.

Yeah... don't have those resources here. Better to just get the head?

I don't know and I only have one left. Wanted to keep it for myself as I still have 5 Deuces. There was a group by of the china heads. The question remains is that the problem. As said when the fuel sleeve is held up longer in the plunger stroke the less the spill port spills. My thought is the spill port releaves pressure then if the sleeve was held all the way up it might help to get a little more fuel to the injectors. I am just guessing at some kinda test without the machine other than head replacement.

Well, like I said, it runs great, just won't start on it's own. I thought about getting a small fuel cell to put in box under driver door with a pump on a horn button. I could run 1/8" copper tube to air tube after filter and spray the gas in... similar to NOS nozzle. Horn button so it can't be left on for more than needed.

Subscribed. OP, I think I know you from helping you somewhere else. ;-)

In my '62 thread, there's a vid of it running of a coolant sprayer shooting gas into the intake.

That made me realize that one could probably weld a flange on the intake tube and run it on a big carburetor.

Before we go injecting gas we have talked about the delivery valve and getting that back together plus checking the overflow valve for sticking open.

If you don't want to replace the Hydraulic Head then just get a "ether" injection kit. A whole lot of deuces came with them. They are still available NOS from surplus dealers.

Yea lot better than gasoline injection.
Thought about ether as a last ditch but believe when we talked the delivery valve spring might be fubar and the tm also has us checking the overflow being stuck open.

I never thought about it but, the "T" in the front of the head(hyd head) should have a check valve in it. If not, starting can be problematic. Has it always been trouble to start? Or was it just after you monkeyed with it?
