Hey fellas.
Just wanted to post these real quick, my girlfriend insisted; "Baby, you NEED to show these to your steelsoldier buddies!"

Well I'm a bit of an 'artiste' and I just figured I would share with you some sketches I have done of my Deuce. Sometimes when I get bored at work I grab a pencil and paper and start drawing, I use pictures I have taken and look at them through the little 3" screen on my camera for a reference.

I was thinking of starting a series dedicated to all the vehicles represented here on SS, might take me a while but I figured I would start here. Feel free to comment/critique or even post your own work.

p.s. Sorry for the image quality, I just took pics of them. When I scan them i will re-upload.

They put me in art class in High School, but my teacher could never get me to draw anything that didn't have wheels and an engine.

Yeah I know the one in question I'll draw it up and make a little cartoon gimp.

They are good enough for me to buy a couple. We have a promotion shop here that screens art work onto T shirts. I would have a couple done if you want to share a drawing. I would have the year and make scrolled under the ones I did for myself. 1972 AM General or power by Continental for instance, it would be fun to wear. Glen.

Yeah I think the M109 is next, (after gimp's overturned deuce) then probably onto the CUCV series. Probably going to do the 5 tons last .

I too like the t-shirt thing, having some of my own made for another event (not mv).

Those are awesome! I totally understand the art teacher thing...mine keeps asking what it is with me and green trucks....

Keep it up, and post some more pics as you do them, remember, art only has to be a hobby, so no pressure...
