Robr would you mind saying what you did for insurance? In your profile picture I see it is garaged was that a requirement to get it insured? I'm right by wichita but could only park a truck that size outdoors.

I really hope I can find affordable liability coverage on a bobbed deuce with no garage requirement but would be okay with adding keyed ignition / locking doors.

only my 6x6 has that requirement through Hagerty $125.00 a year full coverage
my Bobbed as a different policy it has Full coverage agreed value and its not cheap
Try State Farm or Farmers Ins.

Hey Rob- did you or your carpet guy keep the pattern for the cab carpeting? Think he would be up to making another set? I'm out here in the sticks and no access to carpet types.

Thanks again for all the photos and info about this project. Hope you start another truck soon...

ok I didn't do much today

finally painted and mounted the Jerry can and the rack

dyed the tires back black I got in some red mud and it pretty much made my tires look reddish brown and would not come off no matter what I cleaned them with
the dye worked great they look new again

robr,
What tires and wheels are you using? How did you make the rear axle the same width as the front? I looked through all the info but didn't see the wheels mentioned. Maybe it's in another thread? Great build! I'm saving for my new truck. After seeing your thread here, I MUST have one.

Thanks!

Rob,
I envy a man with your resources, all the fun machines you have access to and the ability to operate them. You have some great connections on the outsourcing too.
I have drooled my way through this thread more than once to see what I missed the first times and look everyday to make sure I dont miss anything new. Your truck is addictive. Hope one day I have one half as nice.
Thanks for sharing your build!

This is one of my first posts on SS, but I wanted to say that after reading through all 34 pages of this, I am simply in awe. You have managed to build what is easily the nicest bobber I've ever seen, and probably will see. Kudos to you, Robr, and if you're ever in the Ft. Hood area, you've got a glass of single barrel Jack Daniels waiting for ya.

Please keep the pattern and advise of the cost for the cab top liner. That may be something that a few of us would like to get depending on cost. Again great work on the truck, can't wait to check it over in May at the rally.

I was only going to make a temporary mold but if there is interest I can always make a permanent one cost should not be bad just depends on how thick the plastic will have to be but the main problem will be the shipping cost ;)

I just joined last night and read through every post on here non-stop! Where's your land in OK? I would love to see this in person. I think I could actually give my wife the bug if she rode in yours. Let me know if you're ever within a few hours of Tulsa and I am there.
