Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Congratulations! What do you plan to do with it? Are you going to try to find a wrecker body to put on the back? A cargo box? It's official,
I own the M62A2.
I hide my joy.
When I saw the front winch that’s exactly what I thought. Could very well be a M543.Definitely was a wrecker, only wreckers had the Mico brake lock and the rear facing transfer PTO. Also the level wind on the winch is a wrecker thing.
Manufacturer is Kaiser Jeep. M39A2 series. Could be 1965 to 1968.A little confused.
Can you help me date the year of manufacture?
Is the manufacture from Kaiser-Jeep or AM General?
Is it the M39 series?
I'm going to pick up my truck tomorrow.
I will probably have the serial number.
.My friends are preparing their gear for pickup.
We pulled it up and then lifted it slightly from the rear and pushed it onto the trailer.
Everything was very easy.
It is now at home, I languish tomorrow.
PS: I did a first high pressure cleaning of the truck on the trailer.
I've had cast iron water jackets welded up in the past but it all depends on if that crack is accessible to the arc rod. Looks like access would be tough...Repair, is it possible?
I do not know.
