My new M1009 has a mole

I hate to resurrect a dead thread, but this is the only place I have seen this mentioned. I bought a 1985 M1009 and it too has the dome antenna on it. I know what it is from the above posts, but don't know why it isn't on more m1009's. I read the post about the guys truck being an ex USAF truck, does that mean mine is too?

EDIT: I forgot to mention it, but mine also has the spare tire carrier on the tailgate.
