My new M54A2

Recently purchased a truck I've wanted since I was a youngin, 1958 M54A2 I've been looking for a duece for the longest time but found this 5 ton and had a decent tax refund.
Learned to drive it and drove it 700 miles home took about 17 hours at a whopping 52mph.

Looks super clean. Never seen a 5 ton with a deuce rock screen on it. What's under the hood?

Nice rig.

Remember, it was born as a gasser with the magnificent Continental 602 cu gas six. Plenty of power, but only about 4 mpg.

In a depot rebuild later in life, it inherited a Multifuel motor.

Chances are that truck was rebuilt several times, with probably less that 20K total miles on it.

An OLD G744 may have 15K on the clock.
