My US Army MQM 171

A few pics of my new to me US Army MQM -171 drone. Decided to hang it in the shop.

Tell us how you acquired it, where you found it, price you paid for it..... We want the WHOLE STORY !!!

That looks like it would be fun to fly as long as you had the original equipment designated to do so. Trying to fly it around your local R/C flying club might not be a great idea unless you don't mind putting it back in kit form. Is the propulsion system still in place?

Yes it has the complete power pack. DA 150 engine. 2 cylinder 150cc
all the electronics are in the aircraft . It's all standard large scale RC aircraft stuff
i have no doubt it could be flown by someone who has those skills. That someone is not me lol

That thing would look pretty cool with a fake sensor turret and a couple of small-scale Hellfire missile replicas on the wings...

The drone is rather large. Wingspan is 13 feet 7 inches. It can cruise at 120 mph and has a surface ceiling of 16000 feet .

Mainly used for aerial target practice. Can be flown with a set GPS flight plan.

Believe it it or not I found it a swap meet and quickly made a deal.
