The US Navy operated Chenowth Buggies remotely for targeting by ships. I don't have a lot of information on these, hopefully Roger will chime in. These photos were found on Ebay some time ago. I do not know the current status of this vehicle. Enjoy...
Parked right next to the FAV, is a stripped down HAWK missile loader/Transporter, (M501) . If you think driving a FAV is fun, you need to take a Loader for a spin. Was issued with a M151 Jeep engine in it. That made it very unpopular . After the solid state ignition system was MWO'ed on to it, everyone was happy. Late in the game cam an diesel motor. All the German Loaders had the diesel MWO. The final drives were also a weak area. This is probably a picture from Ft. Bliss, maybe Late 80's mid 90's. Should you want to sell the Loader, there has been at least 3 people in the last year looking for one.
