Need help with MUTT Transmission please

Hi All.. I have a 66 MUTT M718 and runs great as well as shift’s all forward gears beautifully. The problem is I was able to shift into reverse once and when I tried again the shifter is unable to be placed in reverse whether the MUTT is running or off.

It should be known the MUTT was in many years of climate controlled storage and all mechanical maintenance has been completed. Again, run’s well, shift’s forward gear’s great and clutch feels good.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Remove the transmission tunnel and remove the shifter assembly from the transmission. Check to make sure you don't have a bent shifter fork or something else minor is wrong. I believe TNJ Murray in DE has NOS shifter assemblies, or at least he did when I bought one from him several years back.
