Probably going overseas as I have seen these trucks in Afghanistan this past spring in use with Afghan National Army and their US advisors. It's an International 7000-MV. Here's the link - http://shortlinks.net/quf608 on the truck.

With all the women in the military, I believe that is a Sleeper Cab, for Co Ed sleeping. What were the stats. on Desert storm, something like, There were more Pregnant women returning from combat than there were Wounded men!??

I believe they are being built at the Navistar plant in _____, __. Or, at least a major component of the truck is.

I am not trying to criticize..... But with a war going on maybe we should try not to post where these trucks ( or any other military gear ) is made on the web.

N1265 I know where you are coming from but with the way that the media and the internet is today, the secrecy that helped us win wars like World War 2 is seemingly unattainable anymore...

But that's not to say we should stop trying. I'm not sure the Navistar plant location ever was (or needs to be) a secret, but it's good to be reminded once in a while that we have enemies... Enemies that can conceivably browse this site and read posts just to see if they find anything about a common weakness in the trucks our troops are using. Of course, now more than in the recent past, many of the trucks our troops use differ significantly from those found in the private hands of this board. But there are still plenty of "our trucks" in service too.
