New Castle DE loadout help for possible non-running M931

Does anyone know if GL will help load non-running trucks? The hauler just told me he has no way to load it if it doesn't run. The listing only says Vehicle towed on to lot.

If not what other options are there?

Thanks in advance.

Hook a military tow bar to the front bumper of the 931 and pull it out. Do the tires have air? I'd offer to help tow it but I'm still trying to get my m923 from Sparta, Wisconsin.

I don't have anything to tow it with. The tires all have air. The hauler I think has a drop deck and uses ramps to load.

That's a gamble I can't take using a hauler. I guess I'll try calling down there Monday. In the meantime as a backup plan I need to find a hauler that has a winch.

We were there on Tues and the guys in the yard are all new but they seemed very willing to help but not sure about loading.

Sorry to revive an older thread, I've been doing a lot of lurking in this site. When I get my taxes back this year I plan on bidding on a running 923 at new castle and was wondering if anyone can tell me if they're a site that will let you drive a purchased 5 ton off site or does it have to be towed?

The New Castle lot is not on a military base and they will let you drive a truck out.

Thanks for the quick response. I wasn't 100% sure how that worked.... And as crazy as I've been driving my wife with my 5 ton talk I don't know how well having to cough up extra for a tow right off the bat would fly lol.

Are temp tags/insurance required,do they check before they let you drive off?.I would call my ins agent and get it covered before moving it.
They do not check or care, but there is a thread about the DOT in the area busting people driving off the lot without paperwork.

Good to know. I have a CDL and wouldn't consider driving it without at least insurance. I'll have to check if Rhode Island issues a transit plate although I doubt it.
