Wow! Just read your thread and seen the pics. I will definitely keep the batteries secured. It looks like someone used a torch on your battery cover, LOL.

Kinda unerving in SoCal trafic to have the temp gauge blow out of the dash and lose all power! And in a place you can't pull over. So yes sucure thoes babies down. Also I'm gonna put a rubber mat on top of them just in case.
