Hi every one, just got my first m1028. The truck seems in great condition and is quickly becoming my favorite vehicle i have ever owned, especially after yesterdays snow.This is now my daily driver so if any one has any advice or mods i should do please let me know because i know very little about diesels and even less about my new truck.

Suggestions are to carry a locked box in the back with spare alternator, spare starter, spare glowplug card, spare relay, spare everything electrical, some food, some alcohol, a blow up doll to keep you happy, backup battery for your cell phone......

The heater works very well even better than my gas truck (1995 chevy 1500 wt 6cyl)

Used to eat lunch there on my way up to Camp Perry for the National Matches, back when my eyes worked well enough to see the targets at 600 yards.

Welcome from Blacksburg just down the road from you. I love my 1028 w/plow in my avatar. It's a great work truck, plow truck and does everything I have e ever asked it to do. Be sure to read thru the TM's. It's a worthwhile read. I would definitely recommend going thru and replacing all the fluids and rubber hoses in the engine compartment.
