Mine is an A3 work in progress 4x4 conversion. Photo is the bed becoming a trailer, truck frame L reinforcement, rear bumper on the A3 and the trailer suspension donor going on the frame outside when changed to one rear axle. I have new seats and new drivers door and whole lot of fabricating in the area between the cab and M105 bed.Oh yea....tranny mounted PTO and rebuilt 1545. ...aka money (and time) pit.
A mod on Hanks Deuce, using a hood from a 5 ton 809 series seems interesting to gain a bit of front clearance and area for the radiator, tranny and inter-cooler, yet retain a very similar appearance. Combined with a new bumper and a hydraulic winch like Hanks would be sweet. I'll put that on my list too probably.
Edit...look at the headlight on the 2 1/2 ton KIA military trucks that are knock-offs from the M35 but modernized. I'm changing my headlights like they have them so the door on the side does not hit (and they look cool).
