New member soon to have a new to me MV K30 (M1008?)

Hi,

Names Jason. Been looking around for a long time and believe I finally found a surplus K30 in my price range!

Hopefully will officially own it in a week or so plus have been browsing your site for years in search of Rockwell info, turbo 6.2 info, etc.... so figured it was about time to sign up.

Won't be keeping/returning the truck to stock or anything, but I do plan to have fun driving it and using it's capability as needed.

So I did buy the truck and enjoyed the heck out of it for a few years.

But the previous owner had drove it through 3 PA winters, so the salt had already gotten a solid start on putting a hurt on the truck.



I also have a Cummins swapped crew cab that was starting to show its age and needed attention from the body man




So I decided to sell the D30 M1008 before it got to bad and concentrate on fixing my crew cab.
Once we realized the crew cab was going to require a full repaint - we decided to build a clone-ish I have christened my M1028A4.
CARC 383 Green and CUCV bumpers are on their way.

The front half is done!

Now to figure out how to properly care for the Gillespie Coatings 34094 paint. (Unfortunately this truck is not currently garage kept)
