If you read paragraph six it includes: "A registration plate issued for a historic military vehicle that is operated on the roads of this state is not required to be attached to the rear or the front of the historic military vehicle unless the historic military vehicle was originally manufactured with lighting and mounting provisions for a registration plate." My M1031 is so equipped so I must have the plate on it, however my M101a2 trailer is not so equipped therefore I just need to have the plate with me when towing it.So who lets the police departments know about this law. I was just told my cucv is not a military truck and the paper with the reg on it was not real..... ticket. ....
Is your vehicle that got ticketed originally manufactured with lightning and mounting provisions? If not fight the ticket, if equipped get the plate mounted. If I'm not mistaken you tow pintle is located where the plate would normally be mounted.
