Congrats on the M1009. The first thing I would do is download the CUCV technical manuals here from the site. That will cover most everything. I would also search the site here for information regarding the glow plug system and the starter relay. Those are common failures on the CUCVs.

Randy, let's see some pics of the truck! Congratulations on your win! How are you going to get it home? Are you going to tow it home with the deuce? It was cool to hang out with you at Aberdeen!

I will sent some picks, truck may still be listed on GL site. event#3338, lot# 3027, like it said I had a chance to look this one over, a few minor dings, engine turned over, ties new, seats no rips, has a small chip in windshield.
I plan to using a tow strap, since Ft. Meade is only 5miles away.

Congrats on the new rig!! Some may debate but the 6.2 was a fairly good motor in the cucv for the time it brought up. The Army right now is replacing all the 6.2 in the Humvees with 6.5s and some of those are being seen on auction to so you could all ways step up to the bigger motor. Also alot of folks would like or have put a turbo to get more power and better performance. But for a 20 something old rig it should get around 18-20 mpgs thats not have bad for the weight. Captain
