i grabbed a 1968 Case-Master Body M101-A1. It’s going to be a user for me but is also like to keep it complete as possible.

My questions, do any other Sideboards/bows and covers interchange with the M101 series? I’d love to have a set but I can’t get down with paying more for them than I did the trailer.

How hard is it to hub-swap to something a little more commercial? I’d love a 5-5.5 hub to go with my pulling truck just for ease of spare parts. I’m worried I’ll just buy a M37 tho.
Thanks!

Sides, gates, bows, and cover will all interchange between the m101/a1/a2/a3. If you need racks and gates, Gimpy and I have NOS sets with the fiberglass slats available for a very reasonable price..... pm either Gimpyrobb or me for more details..........

Congratulations!

Not sure about new hubs, but You can install another axle with the hub bolt pattern you want.
Dexter makes one and several guys have done it with great success.
It all depends on what you want to spend.

The M101A1 is a great trailer, but You would have been better off getting a M101A2 or 3.
Standard wheel Hubs and surge brakes.

Most shops will not touch the rims with lock rings anymore.
Yes their out there but around here it’s pricey to get them worked on

I’ve bought NOS gates and sideboards from SS members. Great prices as already mentioned.

This was definitely and impulse buy and the price was right, perhaps in the future I’ll get it to a era-correct guy and upgrade to a better user. The wheels shouldn’t be a problem, i live in a mostly rural area where split rims are somewhat common on old agricultural trucks. For what I’ll use it for these tires should last a good while.

I feel I’ve started another addiction 😂

Is your truck wheel 5 lugs?

Isn't the 8 lug dodge same as dexter same as HMMWV is same as ford.

Here is a dexter about the size of your trailer (no brakes) with the 8 lug wheel and tire from a dodge 1 ton pu (I think). I narrowed the axle and am not at all happy with the frame I built. The width is about right for your trailer......but not 5 lug.

I'm looking for the generator trailer HMMWV for an axle and frame to put this shelter on.

I don't know squat about the M101a1, but welcome to the green iron disease. Next thing you know you will have a green something with a motor in it so you can drag your green trailer around.

Welcome to the club!!
