RE: Well....
Seriously guys and gals. We have beaten this topic to death numerous times and I'm sure it will come up again. There are VERY passionate people on both sides of the issue. Some want absolutely no auction postings and some want to post any and every auction posting. This issue would continue to come to light even if I were to make it an absolutism one way of the other. It becomes a real sticking point anytime some "special" truck comes along like the M123A1C.
People just need to use their common sense and be respectful of each other's feelings. Before you post a link to an auction, think about how it is going to affect the welfare of the site. If you see an auction pop up and you get pissed because you were going to bid on it, take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard. It doesn't mean you are more or less likely to win or lose the item in question. I have bid on LOTS of trucks that I never mentioned on SS and I still got out-bid once I reached my limit. There are tens or maybe even hundreds of thousands of people watching these auction sites for the next great deal. I would love to know how many thousands of people had that ten ton on their watch list and were "planning on bidding to win" long before it was ever mentioned on SS. My point is, don't post auctions on a whim and don't get all torqued up if you see a link to a auction that you were going to bid on. Show a little tolerance for each other, including the newbies. We all share a love for the green or tan iron and should be able to treat each other with some common decency.
