Also got to its Craigslist ad but via Expedition Portal website. Nice rig. This is the best place to get info maintaining/updating the M1078 it is based on. Expedition Portal website is the best place for info the finish of outfitting it as an Expedition Rig. What is your goals for its use?

Welcome from Virginia!

I'm curious about the box on the rear... Is that original to the truck or something purpose built by another owner? And what happened to the spare tire, APHU, and air intake?

Just curious...

Cheers!

It is a custom box build. 3" fiber box. The hydro controls and air filter were all relocated and a kick out in side the box was made to accommodate. There was no spare tire with the truck. There will be a mount and winch installed on the rear of the truck for a spare wheel. I will post pictures as the build progress.

What are some of the updates you'd recommend?
Thanks!

Maybe you could post a bunch of pictures of the truck and it's systems (especially where modified) so we can get an idea of what to recommend for additional updates and improvements.

Here are a few questions for thought:
CTIS working?
Has extra fuel tank capacity been added?
Has seating in the cab been upgraded?
Has the cab been insulated or sound proofed?
Backup camera?
Lights and lighting improvements?

Pictures are always helpful!
