New with a couple questions,

I just bought my FLU 419 to work on some property I am buying. I was a medic in the army when these things were rolling around Fort Bragg. All the tools are there but the bits. Anyway, The -10 says to engage the PTO before I use the back hoe. But, when I do, the back hoe does not move. When I engage the power tools, nothing works. The engine reves up and I can hear something click, but no pressure. Is there a valve I am missing? Are there, other than the -10, resources I can use to learn about this new beast?

Those are 2 separate circuits you are talking about. The power tools run off of the belt driven pump below the engine. I assume the loader works? If the loader works, then you need to check the electric wires between the switch on the side and the valve block behind the cab.
Regards the backhoe not functioning after engaging the PTO, I’m not aware of common issues. Is the backhoe in transport or deployed position?

So maybe basic operation? Do I need to engage the PTO for the tools to work? I will check the wires today. Now when I pull the power tool switch on, the engine revs up. I think I am not operating the pro correctly. I am not accustomed to PTO and power tools. I was a medic who they let drive large trucks.

The PTO does not operate the hydraulic tools. Does the front end loader work?

Yes, the front end loader works fine

If the front loader works, the power tool circuit works and you need to troubleshoot the wiring between the switch and the solenoid behind the cab. The fuse is good and you are getting power to the switch if activating the switch causes engine RPM to bump up. Pull off the terminals on the valves behind the cab and check for voltage with the switch on.
For the PTO and backhoe: as FLU Farm says, check the simple things like fluid level and that the PTO Stick is all the way back. Is the backhoe upright, or in storage? Does the engine lug when the lever to move it from storage to upright is moved?

So....Derp, I finally realized that the switch for the high idle and tools are Pneumatic.... No air, no tools.

Not really. The switch is electric, but it triggers a solenoid to increase idle speed with a pneumatic cylinder. But you said that part was working.

The Handbook just saved me. Couldn't figure out how to wire the tool switch, but the numbering in the diagram was exactly what I needed. Many thanks!!

There is a FLU group and forum here in SS. Look it up and get into it. Some good, smart folks in it. Read the threads in that forum, and you will be well on your way to really knowing your FLU.
