I picked up my M1078 from auction last fall and have been a member since then to this wonderful organization.
I have picked up an amazing amount on knowledge thanks to all of you and look forward to learning more as time goes on.
For now the truck is my Home Depot runner as I work out the bugs and make upgrades.
Ultimately my goal is to remove the steel bed and subframe and add a 16 to 18 foot habitat for trips to Moab and the desert Southwest, with lots of water storage onboard.
1995 model with 5,511 original miles, now pushing 7,000
All rubber and fluids replaced, cab insulated inside and underneath, new seats, and a set of ECO Hubs coming.
The only things currently on the wish list are a rear locker and some cab AC.

Welcome to the Outfit!

I'm guessing by now you have already discovered the TM's (Technical Manuals) section of the site. If not, go exploring and download your version. You posted your plans - but we still haven't seen any pictures. Come on pal... We need pictures :)

You already have factory air conditioning .
2/60 Air Conditioning
That is two windows rolled down, going sixty miles an hour...

Yes, welcome! We also have a Facebook group too for Utah and immediately neighboring states (see my signature below - I mostly use the group for local buy/sale and events).

Welcome from Southern Utah! You’re in Utah Military Vehicle Club home territory there, I’m surprised @Valence hasn’t posted here yet.
Haha, thanks for the tag! I've been working too many projects at once and forgot to get back to this.
