Hey, we were in the middle of nowhere in GA after all !!!!!!!!!!!!

I snapped a pic of my trip computer off the GPS just a bit ago. 1530 mile round trip in a deuce !!!!! Average moving speed of a mind blowing speed of almost 50 MPH . Over 30 hours behind the wheel just driving, and over 5 hours combined for fuel stops, loading and unloading at gimps place, and food.
Tom, what make and model GPS is that? I'm shopping. Is it waterproof?

Kenny,

It's a Garmin GPSMap 60CSx, it's kind of spendy but since I don't really have the need to justify buying a dedicated auto unit and could make better use of a handheld I went with this one. As of last year it was about the best handheld you could buy (probably still is, but new models come out all the time). It has a micro-SD expansion slot and will do street maps, as well as topo maps. If you use a large enough card you can have both loaded at one time and select what you want to use. Yes it is waterproof using the IPX-7 standard. I copied this from another website...

IPX-7 Waterproof Standard Puddle, stream, beer cooler and splash rated - Protected against water immersion - Immersion for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter.

Sirmrtow, I have never seen anybody drive up a tree like that. No doubt you are a professional. Ha! TVMan (Oddball) was probably in the bushes cleaning out his shorts when the pictures were taken.

Good Times.
no i wasnt cleaning my shorts.. i was wearing pants and i was the one who took the pics of mario aka sirmrtow

We sure had a good time at the rally, and sounds like just about everyone else did also.
It is just a good time to visit with the guys and gals that have the green fever.
Tigger, you are always welcome to ride, it was a pleasure. Guys sorry that the heater in the M-37 was not up to speed Saturday night......
THe guys and gals at the MKT were great again tis year, even with the logistics issues.
Watch-out guys, Monica can handle that 109, as she escorted us back to Marietta.
Hope I was not to pushy about the trail rides and the "rules". De did less than 1/2 the available trails. DT is making more, next year will have fresh areas to visit in additionto where we did not go this year.
AMGeneral, yep, they got stuck, but you were headed that way. We all should be flogged for not taking a functional big winch truck to the swamp.....and YES the baby winch on the M-37 works and NO it will NOT recover a 5-t tractor..........
Carnac, goo efforts on the truck count, yes we should sign in at the gate.

Glad everyone seem to make it back safely (Ron both ways.)

Let us get ready for SSGR'11 www.steelsoldiersgeorgiarally.com

My PTO is in the Pioneer tool trailer. I'll have my winch operational an underway post haste. I'm sick of travelling without it. I'll be adding 60 more feet of strap to the mix as well. With 90' and a deuce, I should be able to free most 5 tons even without a winch!

Well Kenny I got home, the radiator made it, a radiator hose busted about 0130 near Dade City! We had an extra, repaired it and set off for home, my radiator has a split core and I am having it completely rebuilt at the tune of 500 bucks. Im tracking those headsets down, if you have any advice on finding them please let me know!

Ebay! Search often. It's the only way I've found to get them on a budget. Took me over a year to accumulate 4 of them. Now here's the kicker. My employer bought them for the rangemasters and their's are OD Green!
