I have been selling the kits for a while and utilize the #4 gasket, the #3 gasket is used on the NH (New Holland) horizontal pump configuration.
Just spoke with Baldwin and they said it does not mean New Holland it is the Cummins motor series. We have the NH series motor. NHC to be correct. So it seems to me it would be the thinner one gasket?

Stand corrected, I checked the the left over gaskets from my installs, they are the thicker (#4) gaskets.

, I put the wrong one in.
It should be all right it just limits the amount of threads the bolt has to grab hold of.
From what I have read the Cummins had a H series and the N does mean New but it's the New H series motors we have.

Thanks for that, I was thinking it maybe ok. The next time I change the oil I will change it out.

I just went back through and realized I read it wrong. I guess I'll be pulling it back apart! Luckily I haven't put the oil in it yet. So the THIN one is the one you want. I am glad I could complicate this for everyone haha
