Yesterday driving along at 55 yesterday, she backfired twice and died.

I have checked fuel system, all good.

Today i dug into the ignition system, heres what I've done:

Checked power to the distributor, healthy 24v. Checked resistance of the coil- 5.6 ohms. No spark at the plugs.

New Pertronix ignition module, original coil.

My first thought is coil due to lack of spark, but it's possible the module failed.

Is there any way to confidently check the output of the module other than looking for fire at the plug spark?

**edit**

Checked primary resistance: 5.6, that's out of the 3-4.5 specs in the TM

Checked secondary- 14.4, that's out of the 9.5-10 ohm specs.

Ordered a new coil from MECO.
